Deer caught in the headlights

My husband and I don't usually do much for Halloween, but this year we were invited to a party. I was not especially excited about spending $40-60 on a costume I would wear once. I found this idea on a pinterest post.

Simple ingredients for the deer:
A brown men's sweater

Fake fur you can find at any craft store

Safety pins
Instructions for deer: Simply safety pin the fur to the chest of the brown sweater and...DONE:) Well unless your my husband, than you need the deer hooves, which we got from my grandpa...this may be harder to locate.

What you'll need for the Headlights:

A back dress, long sleeve is best but any will work. I found mine at Goodwill for $5

Tap lights (2). You can find these at a hardware store, Fred Meyer, Walmart, Target, etc. You will batteries as well.

Silver or Chrome craft paint (and a paint brush if you don't have one)

Velcro strips

Yellow Duct Tape (surprisingly really easy to find)
Instructions for creating the headlights:

Paint the edges of the tap lights silver or chrome (this is optional, you could just leave them white if you wanted). Once the paint has dried place velcro on back of tap lights and velcro to your black dress right where headlights go;)

Cut the duct tape in small rectangular strips to look like road lines and place down the middle of the dress.

Done! Enjoy being the genius costume designer at the party:)
